Our association

Tsenshap Serkong International e.V. is a non-profit organisation domiciled in Germany. We work very closely with Tabo Monastery – The Institute of Studies in Buddhist Philosophy and Tribal Cultural Society (ISBP & TCS) and with experts specialising in the conservation and restoration of old earthen buildings, murals and statues.

Our administrative structure is very streamlined and relies on voluntary work. This allows us to keep administrative costs as low as possible and to focus on our aim of supporting Tabo Monastery in its efforts to restore the ancient temple site and to expand and maintain Serkong School, which provides an education to young people in Spiti Valley.
